Keith Godfrey D'Silva

Keith Godfrey D’Silva of Miami, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at the age of 67. He was born on September 15, 1956, in Bandra, Mumbai, India where he grew up with his father, Anthony Joseph D’Silva; mother, Kathleen Norris D’Silva née Remedios; brother, Wendl Anthony D’Silva; and sister, Carroll-Ann Smith née D’Silva, along with a large extended family.

He graduated from Saint Stanislaus High School – Bandra in 1972. He worked in Saudia Arabia for a commercial shipping company until the early 1980s before coming to America in 1986.

He met and married Marilyn Cajandab Deocera in 1998 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and had one daughter, Danielle.

He was a passionate person who loved his family more than anything. He always enjoyed taking long road trips around the country to see historic landmarks, visiting other members of the family, and spending time outdoors with his friends and family. He was always the life of the party, cracking jokes and lighting up any room he was in. He was a great man with a good heart, always with a smile on his face and willing to lend a helping hand.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, Marilyn Cajandab Deocera; daughter, Danielle Dominique D'Silva; brother, Wendl Anthony D’Silva; sister-in-law, Leticia Ramos D’Silva; sister, Carroll-Ann Smith; brother-in-law, Neil Smith; nephews, Wesley Anthony D’Silva, Jason Smith, and Jaden Smith; and large community of extended family and friends.

Additionally, the family would like to thank the nurses at Catholic Hospice Services for the care and compassion they showed Keith in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 5-9pm at Caballero Rivero Southern, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, Fl 33181. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 2-3pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 415 NE 105th St, Miami Shores, Fl 33138.
