Keith Christopher Lester was born to Jerline Mckinnon and John Willie Lester on October 18, 1964 in Miami, FL and raised by Jerline and her husband Alfonso Velasquez and Uncle Douglas McKinnon whom instilled God, family and hard work ethics in him.
As a young boy he attended Naranja elementary school, Redland middle and South Dade Sr. High where he graduated in 1982. At an early age he was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, this is where he began his spiritual growth. He later became a member of Martin Memorial AME Church. He worked for the City of West Miami for 14 years until his retirement late last year. He also worked for various funeral homes where caring for the bereaved and their loved ones was one of his greatest passions. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Tunisia and daughter Akethia Lester. Four step daughters Shaniqua and Shuran Miller, Fay and Kadia McClan. Seven sisters Rosalind, Felicia, Ava, Phyllis, Michele, Pamela and Dilia, one brother Lorenzo. Step father Alfonso Velasquez. One Aunt Pauline McKinnon. Two great aunts Carol McKinnon, Diane McKinnon, one great Uncle Lonnie McKinnon. Two brother in laws Jerry Frazier and Willis Wainwright, two step grand children Amari and Aniyah. Eleven nieces, nine nephews, five great nieces and one great nephew and a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
