Dear Family and Friends,
I know it’s hard for you to understand the reason for my sudden departure. See, you get courage from your fears, right after you go through it. So, I need you to find comfort in knowing, the Lord reach for me, and I am now safe in his arms.
As we celebrate my life today, take a moment and reflect on our blessed memories shared throughout my 33+ years. Same age when Jesus was crucified on the cross. November 17, 1986, I was born proudly to my loving Mother, Delores Holley, in the sunshine State of Florida. I am the only child on Mommy’s side, the oldest boy on Daddy Bell’s side. But most of you know me from shadowing my Godfather Dywron Taylor. Nurtured and encouraged by my devoted mother who loves the Lord and values education, I started my education in the public school system and finished in private school. As an independent young man, I gave my life to Christ and was baptized at a very young age. I was eager to venture out into the world and make money, an asset I inherited from my mother. Held several different jobs as a teen and young adult (Miami-Dade County as a Summer Youth, Rocket Trailers Manufacturer, laborer and, lastly, I departed as the Robin Hood-Uber).
Many of you knew me to be my “own person”, distinguished in my own special way and on my own terms. You watched me grow from a boy to a man. Together, we celebrated everything. You know that I loved life, family, and friends. I believed in family values and developed very close bonds with many of you. When times get hard, just remember all those laughs, watching or playing basketball and football, or bopping to the music all night. Remember hanging out at all those birthday parties, going to the club, or out to dinner. I loved eating good food. Reminisce hanging on the basketball court or at my house (where I grew up), or in front of your house.
We had some good times, wherever/whenever we decided to party. And those family dinners, ya’ll cooked some good food, too, but my Grandma Daisy, and Aunties Lorraine and Jackie cooked the best soul food in town.
So the Tree of My Beginning comes to an end, and I extend my love to you. Regardless if you played a small or big role, thank you for being there. To my family: my loving Mother, who taught me the value of a dollar, which I never could perfect when it came to food, sneakers, and timberlands - BOL. Yeah, I was a spoiled Momma’s Boy, and proud to be. But seriously Mother, my stepfather Antonio aka Holleywood is a good dude, and he and Oreo will take good care of you. GrandDad, I may have left owing you money, but you know I am good for it. Though I didn’t create my own branches, my baby cousins were my pots of gold at the end of each rainbow. To my younger sibling, I wish we had more time. Nikki, Tony, Sade, Von, we were born as cousins, but loved as siblings. To my favorite aunties and uncles: Jackie, Cookie (Michael), and Joanne (Leon), Cho Cho, Dee (Aneesah), Bernard (Catina), and Keynada, extended family, and homees, you always had my back. Shot out to my many, many other family members. My love for you all has no limits. Thank you for celebrating my life. As you’re breezing down the freeway, listening to music, remember me and that I am alright.
Love Kieran aka “King”
