I know he is watching Amanda soar up the rankings and "coaching her" from above.  A very special man who will always be remembered for his strength and guidance to many people.

I knew Kostya since 1984, we studied together at Moscow Institute of Management, he was one of the best students there, one of the brightest and kindest people I even met.
We were friends.
After graduation we parted ways and I did not know that he lived practically nearby here in States, we did not meet and I came to know that he died from the internet.
Kostya, I miss you very much.


Cannot believe its' been one year and was just hitting the ball yesterday and speaking about him, a very special man who I didn't know long but knew well.

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”

I first met Kosta in 1998 when he walked into my garage in Colts Neck NJ where I was working on my car and introduced himself.  He spoke almost no english. Through hand gestures and a word here and there he explained that he and his family had just immigrated from Moscow and become my next door neighbors.  He immediately invited my wife and I to have dinner with he and his lovely wife Olga, whom I met a week or so later.  We became fast friends. Kosta amazed me with his brilliant intelligence and his kindness. He was a very well educated and cultured man. A true gentleman.  He was VERY hard working and learned english shockingly quickly. He was very close to Maria, who we absolutely loved for her incredible brains and spirit,  and spent a lot of time with her. And he was thrilled when baby Amanda was born. He and Olga did everything for their girls, even moving to Florida to help Marias tennis career. And both of their girls have done remarkably well. I have not seen them in many years but have only fond memories of my Russian friends who came to this country for a better life. Because of Olga and Kosta, and the hard work of both daughters,  they are truly an American success story.  I am truly sorry to hear of Kosta's untimely passing, and please accept my sincere condolences on his loss. He went far too young but should be very proud of his and his familys' accomplishments.  Until we meet again, my old friend..DASVIDANYA.

A great tennis father . And à gréât coach for nina my daughter and many others . He is an inspiration to many tennis dads. He accomplished what most would only dream of in raising a beautiful family . Condolences. Well miss you Konstantin

Konstantin,  my parents and I have great memories of you. I was ten when I met you and you were a great person and coach. Your passion for tennis and demand for perfection is how I will remember you. Also, your humor was unique. I know there’s a place up in heaven for you. Rest In Peace . 

Will miss him and we spent a lot of great times eating and talking tennis.  I send my warmest feelings to his family.
