Laverne Tara Jones was born in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Leanora Burroughs and George Burroughs. She was the only girl with two brother the late Timothy Jones and Cliffton Jones. She was raised in Miami Florida. She was brought up in a strict home. At the age of 18, she met her first love, Henry Rollins, Sr.
She moved to Georgia with Henry and together they blossomed a family of 6. Laverne was a very loving Mother and she put all she had and more into her children's life before she decided to embark on her own career path again. After the youngest graduated from high school, Laverne went back to school herself and got her G.E.D. then got her AA degree in Child development at Albany Technical College After graduation she moved to Clearwater, Florida where she work as a Caregiver at Bayside of 4 years, while working there she developed a beautiful relationship with her favorite client Angel. They later on took her on fulltime at their house where she worked until she retired before settling down to move to Jacksonville to be closer with her children and grandchildren. My Mother was love. She was loved by many. So many to even try to name but one common denominator was the love she shared with us all. My Mother was a strong, nurturing Mother before she became my bestfriend. There was a time when I was younger in school and she would talk to me and she would say I'm not your friend I'm your Mother. Once I realized that she became my bestfriend. She was breath of fresh air and she never wanted you to feel alone. I can remember recently I was treating myself out and she wanted to be there virtually and have a dinner date with me. This is just a small percentage of her care and love. She was so happy and proud of all of her children. She was also at peace. Now I find peace in knowing her life, love, and her laughter will continue to shine through her family and friends. I love you mommy! Laverne was love, life , and laughter. She could make you laugh at any given moment and would be serious about giving you that laugh. Those 3 things lives through her family and friends to this day #LongLiveLaverne# LLL
She leaves behind five beloved children, Jermel Rollins, Timothy
Rollins, Xavier Rollins, Shanice Brown, Henry Rollins Jr. and six grandchildren,
Elijah King Rollins, Jayden Elijah Rollins, Blakey West, Bryceton West, Kaitlyn
Rollins, and Eiden Liam Rollins. Laverne also leaves behind her brother Clifton
