

Minister Lorina B. (Hanna) Nottage is the seventh child born on November 28 to the late Minister Hurvis Fritz Hanna and Areline Farquharson Hanna. She has seven brothers: Alins (Virginia, deceased); Ehud (Dollymae); the late Bradley and Silla; the late Donald (Dorothy); the late Christoff and Joyce Hanna; the late James; and Bertram (Colette). She also has five sisters: Marilyn LeFleur (Washington), the late Albetha, Hilda, Doris, and Curleymae Hanna.
She later married the love of her life, the handsome Orlando G. Nottage. The Lord blessed their union with three children. Brenda (Lester), Phillip (Wendy), and Esther Marie The blessings continued to flow in the form of grandchildren—Natalie, Camryn, Brandi, Phillip, Hubert, Shantravia, Malik, Stephanie, Tatiana, Alvin II (Danielle), Andrew, and several great-grandchildren. Peyton, Malaysia, Wynter, Carter, Tiana, Amir, Aaliyah, and Marsel.
Minister Lorina B. Nottage initially joined The Church of God of Prophecy in the Bahamas, where she worked diligently for the Lord. She later joined the Church of God of Prophecy Miami No. 1, where she continued her mission to carry out the will of the Lord. She has several spiritual degrees: an AA degree (as she was truly an Active Ambassador for Christ) and a BA degree (as she was Born Again). She received her Master’s degree the very same day she was called to the ministry and accepted the Master’s mission to preach the gospel all over the world. She also completed the Bible Training Institute Program, received several certificates in “General Bible Knowledge”, “These Necessary Things,” and “The Body of Christ” teachings, and obtained an honorary Doctorate degree in theology.
Her call to the ministry as a minister and evangelist has led her to these positions: Mission Director, Women’s Ministry Director, Pastoral Care Booster, and Coordinator of Fundraising Committee; former Sunday School Superintendent; Victory Leaders Band (Youth Ministries) Director; and Youth Camp Counselor; as well as former President of the Church of God of Prophecy, Miami No. 1, Senior Choir. These are a few of the departments in which she has served during her Christian journey as a member of the Church of God of Prophecy Miami No. 1.
Minister Lorina Nottage was also very active in the local community. She worked for the James E. Scott Community Association (J.E.S.C.A.) for many years. She also served as a mother to several overseas students attending college in the United States from the Bahamas. She was a mentor, counselor, and prayer mother for several law enforcement personnel, including Chief Delma Pratt (Miami Gardens Police Department), retired police MDPD Captain Temple BoClaire, retired MDPD Police Sergeant Rufus BoClaire, and retired MDPD Police Officer Gregory Carter. She leaves to cherish her fond memories a host of family and friends in the Bahamas and the United States. Her sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Bishop Samuel A. and Lula P. Thompson; Bishop Noward E. C. and Ruby O. Dean; Minister Anna I. Dean; Pastor and Elder Honore; Pastor Neal; and her best friend, Minister Noreen Kerr.
