Louivil Joicin was born on February 8, 1954, in LaGonave, Haiti, to his parents Bonicia Guerilus and Eloius Joseph Joicin. He began his formal education at the age of 10 and continued his studies in Port-au-Prince in 1968. After obtaining his certificate, Louivil attended Lysees Wesleyenne in Anse A Galets. In 1978, he pursued training to become a skilled driver. Later that year, he migrated to the United States, where he eventually pursued a career in medical assistance where he interned with the famous Dr Rudolph Moise! He also held jobs as a warehouse worker and many years as a taxi cab driver.
