Marcia Shauntae Thompson was born on August 21, 1979, in Miami, Florida to Magelean Burrows and Dwight Thompson. Marcia attended Hialeah High School where she graduated in June 1997. She continued her education at Miami-Dade College where she obtained an accredited American Sign Language Certificate (ASL). Committed to communication and inclusion, Marcia was certified in American Sign Language, using her skills to connect with and serve others in a meaningful way. Her dedication reflected her belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and understood.

She was a visionary entrepreneur whose ambition, creativity, and determination inspired many. Through her business endeavors, she not only built opportunities for herself, but uplifted others along the way. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her generous heart.
A gifted cook, Marcia expressed love through food. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable meals, where family and friends gathered, and memories were made. Whether preparing a favorite family recipe or trying something new, she found joy in nourishing others. She would often share pictures of her meals on Facebook for others to see and envy! She had a desire to one day own and operate a food truck. Marcia earned a diploma in Culinary Arts, certifying her professional skills in cooking, baking, food preparation, presentation, and catering. She was trained in proper sanitation and safety practices in the kitchen and with surrounding equipment. Owning her own food service business was her ultimate accomplishment, “MMMM Good” was selected as her business name.
Marcia was a loving and devoted mom to two sets of twins. Malik and Malachi (22) and Malantis and Malana (12) were the apple of her eyes. She enjoyed spending time with them cooking and sharing recipes. Despite her health challenges, Marcia fought daily to create a sense of normalcy for herself and her children. She was a FIGHTER! She was a natural comedian who often would find the funny in any situation.
Marcia will be remembered for her strength, kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for family and community. Her life was one of purpose, passion, and grace – a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
