Marie Claudette Monestime

Marie Claudette Monestime was born on November 17, 1944, in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. She was the daughter of Mr. Legitime Monestime and Carida Saint Fleur, the first-born child of three. She spent most of her adolescence in Port de Paix, where she attended school. In 1975, she gave birth to the only surviving son she had, Markelo Monestime. Approximately 5 years later, she migrated to the United States, where she took permanent residence. As a courageous woman, she was never discouraged by her daily struggles or her illness due to her devoted faith in Christ.

Claudette was gifted in childcare; she nannied the children of our family. Her presence was admirable and appreciated. We are honored to have had the service of such a giving heart. She is a faithful servant of the Lord. Obeying her holy father and spreading the words of Christ and encouragement to everyone her life touches

Claudette was a true woman of God, a woman of love, and a woman of inner peace. She left behind a legacy of greatness that reveals no ending in sight, and she will never be forgotten. She will be remembered for all her kind ways, selfless attributes, and sacrifice.

On October 15, 2023, Claudette was called to be with the Lord. Your spirit will live through us, the Monestime, Senatus, Pierre, Dorval, St. Fleur, Guerrier, and Isma. Claudette is survived by her son Markenlo Monestime, her brother Yvener Senatus, and her sisters Dazelia Monestime, Marthe Monestine, and Deliverance Monestime.

A visitation for Marie will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Fulford United Methodist Church, 1900 NE 164th St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 1900 NE 164th St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162. A final place of rest will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Caballero Rivero Southern Memorial Park, 15000 W Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, Florida 33181. A repast and fellowship will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023, 1900 NE 164th St, North Miami Beach, FL 33162.
