Mercedes Felix, 87, of North Miami Beach, FL, died peacefully at her home on July 18, 2018. Born in the Dominican Republic on August 18, 1930. Mercedes was the daughter of the late Celestino Nunez and Honoria Corona, and the sister to 10 siblings. She worked as a hairstylist, laborer, and homemaker. She met her late husband Julio Ernesto, whom she met and married in the Dominican Republic. She later moved to the United States in 1962. When she retired she and her husband moved to North Miami Beach where she resided up until her death. Mercedes enjoyed cooking, attending church but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her four children, John, Julio, Louis and Sondra, her siblings; Esperanza, Carmela, Irene, Ana, and Antonio. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
