

Mas tarde, la familia se trasladó a La Habana, Cuba. Muy joven, se casó el 3 de marzo de 1945 con Carlos Martínez de esa unión nacieron sus hijos Maurilia y Carlos.
El 5 de septiembre de 1968 contrajo nupcias con Juan Guerra, su compañero por el resto de su vida.
Onelia trabajó por poco tiempo en Cuba en los Estados Unidos se retiro a los 62 anos Después se dedicó a los quehaceres de su casa y a su querido esposo Juan
En 1980 Onelia y Juan emigraron de Cuba a España, donde vivieron un corto tiempo en Madrid. Luego se trasladaron en el mismo ano 1980 a Nueva York.
En 1990 se mudaron a Miami Beach, Florida, donde vivieron hasta el presente.
Onelia fue una dedicada esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela. Todos los que la conocieron la quisieron mucho
Entre las cosas que mas le gustaba hacer era cocinar comida cubana para su esposo y familia ella disfrutaba mucho la musica latina y atender con gran dedication sus orquideas Onelia y sus Juano fueron de vacaciones en muchos cruceros a Europa y el Caribe.
Onelia le sobreviven su esposo Juan Guerra, Su hija Maurilia Martinez Rego y su esposo Otto Rego, su hijo Carlos Martinez sus Nietos Gema illueca y Freddy Torres y su esposa Audra Torres- Zmigrodski , Ragnar Martinez y su esposa Julia Bizama -Tylor
Ivo Carlos Martinez y su esposa Miriela Travieso Sus bisnietos Gian Carlos Martinez Amanda Martinez, Victoria y Adan Illueca, Kora, Braelyn , Auden Torres, Abby, Andrew Zmigrodski. tambien su hermana Caridad Rodriguez y sus sobrinos Zulian Y Ruben Rodriguez

Onelia Guerra, age 95, of Miami Beach, Florida passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025.
Onelia Gonzalez was born on February 14 1930 on a farm in the town of Bainoa.
Later, her family moved to Havana, Cuba. At a very young age, she married Carlos Martínez on March 3, 1945. From that union, their children Maurilia and Carlos were born.
On September 5, 1968, she married Juan Guerra, her lifelong companion.
Onelia worked for a short time in Cuba and retired in the United States at the age of 62. Afterward, she dedicated herself to taking care of her home and her beloved husband, Juan.
In 1980, Onelia and Juan emigrated from Cuba to Spain, where they lived for a short time in Madrid. Later that same year, they moved to New York.
In 1990, they relocated to Miami Beach, Florida, where they have lived ever since.
Onelia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All who knew her loved her. Among the things she enjoyed most were cooking Cuban food for her husband and family, listening to Latin music, and tending to her orchids with great dedication. Onelia and her husband Juan traveled on many cruises through Europe and the Caribbean.
Onelia is survived by her husband Juan Guerra, her daughter Maurilia Martínez Rego and her husband Otto Rego, her son Carlos Martínez, her grandchildren Gema Illueca and Freddy Torres and his wife Audra Torres Zmigrodski, Ragnar Martínez and his wife Julia Alanis Bizama-Tylor, Ivo Carlos Martínez and his wife Miriela Travieso. Her great-grandchildren Gian Carlos Martínez, Amanda Martínez, Victoria and Adán Illueca, Kora, Braelyn, Auden Torres, Abby, and Andrew Zmigrodski. Also, her sister Caridad Rodriguez nephews Zulian and Ruben Rodriguez
A visitation for Onelia will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Southern, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181. A prayer service will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM, 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33181. A final resting place will occur Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 15000 W Dixie Hwy, North Miami, FL 33181
