

Philomene was born to Filsnore Cerant and Fortilia Edmond on May 12, 1941 in Saint Louis Dunord, Haiti.
Philomene met her husband, Michel Jean Baptiste in Haiti, they married in the year 1969 but sadly never produced any children. In 1985 Philomene migrated to Miami, FL to seek a better life for herself and husband.
When Philomene arrived in Miami she started working as an Agricultural personnel until she retired. She was always loved by her family and friends and stepped up as a mother figure for her nieces and nephew after the passing of their mother’s her sisters Marie Therese Brutus and Dieudonne Louis.
Philomene joins her husband Michel, her parents, Filsnore and Fortilia, her brother, Louverture Cerant, and her sisters Marie Therese Brutus and Dieudonne Louis and niece Mirlande Thelusma in Heaven. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her nieces are as followed, Chimene Louis and Spouse, Julienne Jean Benvindo (Adopted Daughter) and Spouse, Rosemary Brutus, Elizabeth Brutus, Stephanie Maximin and Spouse and Adonia who still resides in Haiti. Her nephews Jerry Brutus, Robert Brutus and Spouse. Her great nieces Ivena Ivory, Claudia Richard and Spouse, Antoinette Miceus and Spouse, Brianna Cawley, Arianna Blackwood, Adrianna Blackwood, Mahlani Brutus, Jerri-Marie Brutus, Theresa Brutus, Cynese Brutus, Natoy Thelusma, Chandline Thelusma and Natalie Soiro and family. Her great nephews Emmanuel Jean and Spouse, Claude Joseph Jr., Gary Jean, Keon Bushay, Gerald Brutus, Rayvon Cawley, Stephan Blackwood, Imani Brutus, Khalil Bushay and Amari Brutus. Along with many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, other family members, close family friends and devoted church members.
