Pierre “Papi” Joseph Barbera passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the age of 93, just shy of his 94th birthday, after a courageous fight, surrounded by his family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Pierre will be remembered for his bold personality, infectious sense of humor, and the unconditional love he gave so freely to everyone around him. He spoke his mind with honesty, loved deeply, and brought laughter to everyone around him.
His greatest joy was his beloved wife, Lucia Barbera, and their family. He cherished every moment spent with them and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—enjoying sweets, loving good food, and listening and dancing to his favorite French music.
Pierre’s love, strength, and kindness leave behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
