

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Sister Rosemarie Labranche, who left us on 7th of September 2024, surrounded by her loving family. On 18th of September 1947, on the beautiful island of La Torture, Haiti, a gorgeous baby girl was born to the proud parents of Gabriel Jean and Edith Petit-Frere. They named their first bundle of gems Rosemanie Jean. She was the eldest of the family of nine children: the Late Marie-Maude Nicolas, the late Charles Jean, Rosemene Petit-Frere, Jackson Petit-Frere, the late Steve Johnson, Leslie Samuel, Norman Samuel and Guy Samuel. When she was 10 years old her mom Edith Petit-Frere made a big drastic choice to relocate her family from Haiti to the island of Nassau, Bahamas to build a new life for her family, Rosemanie Jean spent the rest of her adolescence and young adulthood in the Bahamas. She later then changed her name and became known by Rosemarie Jean, everyone knew her by her nickname “Timane”. She brought so much joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. From a tender young age, she radiated beauty, love, and a vibrant spirit that drew people to her. Her kind heart was evident while fulfilling a testimony of life resembling humbleness, God's love, and selflessness.
Being a young and attractive lady, Sister Rosemarie met a gentleman who became her first love, by the name of Anacreon Labranche with whom she fell deeply in love, and after a period of courtship, a romance bloomed, and they were joined together in matrimony. During the flourishing of their marriage, the union was blessed with twelve wonderful children and a stepson. As a devoted mother and woman of God, she poured her love and energy into raising her children, nurturing them with values of compassion, resilience, and faith for their personal growth, development and God’s principles.
Sister Rosemarie Labranche was also known as Madame Creon; which is the proper way to announce a woman who is married in the Haitian culture. She was a woman of great character. Whenever you would meet her, Sister Rosemarie was cheerful, loving, and compassionate about helping her family throughout Haiti and the United States. She often would communicate with
her family and visit them every Saturday after prayer service. She was a member of Church of God of Bethel for more than thirty years. Sister Rosemarie generosity and dedication to helping others in her community and offering guidance was a superhero. She loved her family so much that she would do anything for them. Her home was not only a sanctuary for her children but also a home for neighborhood kids who called her “mommy”, they found solace and support in her caring embrace. Her loving spirit and unwavering support significantly influenced the lives of many; she will be always be remembered for her boundless love and dedication to others.
Sister Rosemarie had a love for fashion that was unmatched; she loved to dressing up, especially wearing her hats, high heels and colorful matching outfits. One of her favorite hobbies was to go shopping on weekends Saturdays with her daughters and nieces to prepare for Sunday’s service. She took pride in cooking for her family, she would make sure that her children and grandchildren had their favorite meal upon request. During her final days, Sister Rosemarie was delighted with tears of joy while being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Death did not WIN the battle; Sister Rosemarie Labranche received her victory of peace on Saturday, seventh of September 2024, where she passed away quietly in the arms of the Lord with her loved ones the way she wanted. Sister Rosemarie’s boisterous life be always be forever be cherished. She left no doubt in the minds of her family, friends, and church members as she transitioned to her heavenly home.
