Sara De La Rosa

Sara is survived by her husband Limberto, daughter Kathy and husband Armani, son Alex and wife Tara, granddaughters Tiana, Halina and Aria.

In 1960 at the age of twenty-four, Sara left Cuba to embark on a new chapter in her life in the United States. Sara married Limberto Delarosa and, together with her mother, Lucia, father Wenceslao, and their two children, Kathy and Alex, she created a loving home. She resided on Long Island, New York 52 years then moved to Florida closer to her retirement years.

Sara was not only a caring daughter but a devoted wife and mother, driving her son to baseball games and taking her daughter to piano lessons. She served as a caregiver until the passing of her parents, who lived with her as well. Sara and Limberto supported their children in achieving their milestones of graduating from universities, a significant accomplishment for an immigrant family. In addition to her family commitments, Sara found joy in sewing, traveling, dancing, and hosting dinner parties. Her retirement was filled with beach outings, and marked by casino and bingo playing with friends and neighbors. Throughout her life she generously volunteered her time in community organizations, extending help to hundreds through her cooking, listening, and opening her home to many. Her life was enriched by her siblings: Roberto, Julio, Carmen, Matilde, and her brother-in-law Leo and his wife La China, Lourdes, and 13 nieces and nephews. Sara leaves behind a legacy of prioritizing family, fostering a kind heart, maintaining a positive outlook, and always sharing a warm smile.

The viewing to celebrate Sara's life will be held at Caballero Rivero Southern on Thursday, 25th of January, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The following day, we will meet at 10:00am at Caballero Rivero Southern and head to celebrate a Spanish Mass at Saint Rose of Lima, 415 NE 105th Street, Miami Shore, FL 33138 at 1030AM, with the burial immediately following the mass 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach Fl 33181 (on 151st Street) at 12:00 noon. Sara Delarosa, de 87 años, nacida en Santa Clara, Cuba, falleció pacíficamente el 17 de Enero 2024. A Sara le sobreviven su esposo Limberto, su hija Kathy y su esposo Armani, su hijo Alex y su esposa Tara, sus nietas Tiana, Halina y Aria.

En 1960, a la edad de veinticuatro años, Sara salió de Cuba para emprender un nuevo capítulo de su vida en los Estados Unidos. Sara se casó con Limberto Delarosa y, junto con su madre, Lucía, su padre, Wenceslao, y sus dos hijos, Kathy y Alex, crearon un hogar lleno de amor. Residió en Long Island, NY durante 52 años y luego se mudó a la Florida.

Sara no sólo era una hija cariñosa, sino también una esposa y madre devota, que llevaba a su hijo a los partidos de béisbol y llevaba a su hija a clases de piano. Se desempeñó como cuidadora hasta el fallecimiento de sus padres, quien viven con ella también. Sara y Limberto apoyaron a sus hijos para que alcanzaran graduarse de las universidades, un logro significativo para una familia inmigrante. Además de sus compromisos familiares, a Sara le gustaba coser, viajar, bailar y organizar cenas. Su jubilación estuvo llena de salidas a la playa y estuvo marcada por juegos de casino y bingo con amigos y vecinos. A lo largo de su vida, generosamente ofreció su tiempo como voluntaria en organizaciones comunitarias, brindando ayuda a cientos de personas cocinando, escuchando y abriendo su hogar a muchos. Su vida se vio enriquecida por sus hermanos: Roberto, Julio, Carmen, Matilde y su cuñado Leo y su esposa La China, Lourdes y 13 sobrinas y sobrinos. Sara deja un legado de priorizar la familia, fomentar un corazón bondadoso, mantener una actitud positiva y compartir siempre una cálida sonrisa.

El velorio para celebrar la vida de Sara se llevará a cabo en Caballero Rivero Southern el Jueves, 25 de Enero, de 4:00pm a 9:00pm 15000 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach Florida 33181 (en la calle 151). Al día siguiente, nos reuniremos en la Caballero Rivero a las 10am para partir a la lugar donde celebrar la mis Santa Rosa de Lima, 415 NE 105th Street, Miami Shore, FL 33138 at las 10:30am el entierro se realizará inmediatamente después a las 12:00 medio día Caballero Rivero Southern 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach Florida 33181 (Calle 151).
