Mr. Wilter joseph was born in Haiti Saint – Louis – Du-Nord on December 30th, 1952, of the late parents Dieudonne Joseph and Elina Francois Joseph. He was the eldest of 8 siblings. As the family's foundation, he left Haiti in 1974 and traveled to the Bahamas in search of a better life. He soon left the Bahamas in 1976 for better opportunities in the United States. Upon arriving in the US, he made work and education his top priority. He immediately enrolled at Lindsay Hopkins Technical Center where he received his high school diploma. He enjoyed listening to the tunes of the guitar he loved to play. He also couldn’t miss watching CNN and could tell everything that was going on in the Whitehouse from his bed.
Mr. Joseph later met his wife Edna Joseph in 2000. They later married and remained in that relationship until the end. With this Union, a year later their first child Jory was born and in 2005 their second child Jephte was born. For more than 25 years, he worked for John Cassidy International and R+L Carriers. He was a resilient hard worker who always showed up on time and ensured the job was done right. For about 19 years he was suffering from an auto-immune disease called “Scleroderma” which internally took his life. On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, at 7:55 A.M.he peacefully passed away at Jackson Memorial Hospital North with his wife at his bedside.
He left behind a loving family composed of his lifetime wife Edna Eugene Joseph, his two sons Jory &Jephte, his daughter Shanice Brooks, and his five siblings: Limoné, Hubert, Tervely, Terry and Aniel Joseph; his siters Ifossa and Donnelia Joseph, and many other uncles, cousins and family members.. We would like to thank all the friends, family members, and other beautiful people my dad has met throughout his life for coming out to show your support to our family on this somber occasion. May God bless you all.
