

She died peacefully on February 7, 2024 and went to be with the Lord. She was predeceased by the love of her life, William Walker Lynch after a marriage of 67 years.
A Roman Catholic as was her husband, she loved God, her family and the U. S. Constitution. After working in Washington for Lykes Brothers Steamship Company she retired to give the rest of her life to her family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She gave birth to four sons, John, William, Jr. (Linda), Franklin (Abigail) and Mark (Kathleen).
She also busied herself in gardening and the Seminole Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution where she served for two years as chaplain as well as president of the Oleander Garden Club. As a gardener, she loved growing orchids and tending her butterfly garden.
Bill and Barbara loved to travel, especially to Ireland where they spent time researching their families' ancestry and also seeing our beautiful country. After living in North Palm Beach for many years in the house they built, they moved to Mangrove Bay in Jupiter, FL. After Bill's death, she continued to live there. Bill and Barbara were members of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Tequesta, FL and were both trustees of the Media Research Center in Virginia. Bill and she were both strong prolife supporters.
Barbara is survived by two sisters, Martha Van Sant Hayes and Mary Caroline Van Sant Zurun.
Barbara was loved and cared for by her faithful friends and aides, Sophie and Mo.
At Barbara's request, services will be private with burial beside her beloved Bill at Riverside Cemetery in Tequesta, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's, Tequesta, FL would be appreciated.
