Barbara Sager

Barbara L. Sager, 83, died peacefully on May 14, 2018 at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. Howard Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William John Sager and Lillian Haas Sager. She is survived by cousins Patti King, Jack Sager (Pauline), Bette Anne Boettcher, Bob Sager (Pat) and many nieces and nephews and second cousins as far away as Germany.

She was born on March 20, 1935 in Yonkers, NY. She graduated High School in 1953 and began working that year at International Nickel Co and remained there for 15 years until she moved to Lake Park, FL in 1968. She worked at Pratt & Whitney in Palm Beach County for 25 years before retiring.

She was a passionate Yankees fan and made many trips to New York for games. She was a Master Gardener for 20 years, and a tireless volunteer for the Kravis Center, Eissey Campus Theatre, Palm Beach State College (20 years). She was also a member of Florida Trail Association and walked 5 miles each week at the Mall. She was a dedicated member of Faith Lutheran Church, N Palm Beach where she was an Altar Guild Member, on the Endowment Committee and Initial Board Member of New Adult Day Care. She visited 93 countries and was on her way to meeting her goal of 100 with a trip planned to the Baltic Sea.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church with a Reception immediately following. She will be buried with her parents at All Faiths Lutheran Cemetery in Queens, NY.

The family wishes to thank Hospice and all of her wonderful church friends, traveling companions and neighbors for their care and support.
