Carol Ann Bachinski

February 25, 1939March 21, 2020

Carol Ann Bachinski (Bakutis), passed away peacefully on March 21,2020 after a courageous battle with Parkinsons. The family is comforted knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior. Carol was 82 and her husband was by her side until the very end. Carol was born on February 25, 1939 in New Haven, Connecticut to Joseph and Agnes Bakutis. She lived in Branford, Connecticut and was married to Robert on August 17, 1963. In 1976 they moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where she enjoyed living amongst family and friends until her passing.

Carol was always drawn to the mountains of North Carolina. She and Bob built a second home in Asheville that affectionately became known as “the mountain house" and we all made so many fond memories there. The mountain house was Carol’s pride and joy. She spent her days cultivating her infamous flower garden, sitting on the back porch watching the hummingbirds, on the look-out for the bear that always crossed through their yard, and especially enjoyed summers with her grandson, Griffin, when he would come to stay with them and they would explore North Carolina together. She lived life to the fullest and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures.

Carol is survived by her husband and best friend of 57 years, Robert "Bob," of Palm Beach Gardens; her daughter, Cindy (John Sullivan) Locke of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, her son, Rob (Lori) Bachinski of Wimauma, Florida and her son, Chris (Dawn) Bachinski of Jupiter, Florida, the light of her life, her grandson, Griffin Locke of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, her dear sister, Pat Brownell of Branford, Connecticut, and Carol is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends near and far. A celebration of life will take place at a later date - TBD.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trustbridge (Hospice), 5300 East Avenue West Palm Beach, FL 33407. They were truly angels for our family.
