Crystal Dawn Zec (née Markey), 45, passed away on October 17, 2026. Born on November 6, 1980, in New Haven, Connecticut, Crystal was the beloved daughter of Pam Johnson and the late Dana Markey, and a proud member of the Delaware Nation of Oklahoma.
Crystal spent her youth in Palm Beach County, Florida. She lived life to the fullest, finding happiness in simple pleasures—long, sunny days at the beach, cooking for family and friends, and immersing herself in DIY projects organized to perfection. A multi-talented individual, Crystal succeeded at anything she set her mind to. Her big heart showed in her deep affection for animals, especially puppies, and in her endless generosity toward others.
Nothing brought Crystal more pride or profound fulfillment than her sons, Maddux and Mason. Being their mother was her greatest passion, and her devotion to them was limitless. She also found deep happiness and companionship alongside her loving partner, Troy.
She was reunited in death with her father, Dana Markey; her maternal grandparents, Richard T. Johnson, Sr. and Evelyn Johnson; her paternal grandmother, Maryann Markey; and her uncle, Mark B. Johnson, Sr.
Crystal’s memory will be cherished by Andre Zec; her sons, Maddux and Mason; her mother, Pam Johnson; her brother, Matthew Markey (Ruby), and their children, Chloe, Eli, and Lilith. She is also survived by uncles Richard Johnson Jr. (Robbie) and Jack T. Johnson Sr. (Jill); aunts Shirley Johnson Adkins, Donna Johnson Crosswhite, Valerie Johnson, Cindy Johnson, and Diane Johnson; cousins Rosalyn Johnson Verges, Mark Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Logan Johnson, Hunter Crosswhite, and Jack Johnson; along with extended relatives in Oklahoma and a wide network of loving friends.
Her warmth, radiant light, and generous spirit will forever remain with those who knew and loved her.
