In Memory of Doris M. Dumais November 24, 1938 – April 25, 2021

It is with great sadness to announce that Doris M. Dumais, 82, of Singer Island, Florida passed away peacefully on April 25, 2021 with her loved ones at her side. Doris is survived by her three children, daughter Lisa Lewis and husband Jim of Feeding Hills, MA, daughter Jamie George and husband Joseph of Lake Clarke Shores, FL., son Marc Saucier of East Longmeadow, MA; grandchildren, Mathew Lewis, Alysha Lewis, Corinne Lewis, James Lewis and wife Sarah; great grandchildren, Jesse Obitz, Elliot and Mae Lewis; her sisters, Catherine Rock of Sandwich, MA, Clare Putnam of Cocoa Beach, FL, Elizabeth Mueller and husband Kurt of Falmouth, MA. She is preceded in death by two sons, George Anthony, Jr. and Joseph Gerard Saucier, three sisters and one brother, Barbara Ebenfield, Jean Tager, Helen Duffy and Dan Geronimo, Jr.

Doris was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Daniel A. Geronimo and Catherine (Senecal) Geronimo. Doris was advanced beyond her years and attended college at the young age of 16. Early in Doris’ life, she married and had three beautiful children. She adopted her son Marc who was diagnosed with Autism. Upon discovery that he had Autism (virtually unknown in the 60’s) Doris would defy all professional advice and take charge to raise her son in the environment that would propel him to be advanced beyond any expectation to this day.

Doris had many talents and lived life to its fullest. She worked alongside her father at Electrolux, she co-owned and managed several restaurants in Maine; she was a licensed Real Estate Agent in Florida; she was a licensed scuba diver; Doris’ passion was playing bridge. She was an expert player belonging to many local bridge clubs and played in tournaments all over. She was an avid reader and belonged to many book clubs; she read and played classical piano, specifically Italian Sonatas; she traveled all over, loved the beach, white tablecloth dinners, good war movies, art shows, and great conversation. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. Paul of the Cross Church at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, Florida.
