Hi Mom, I still cannot believe it is 11 years that you are no longer here with us. I miss you so much. Things have never been the same and they never will. 
On a lighter note, Evan has grown into an amazing human being. He’s now a young man, almost 19 years old now. I know you watch over him and how proud you are of him. We love and miss you so much Mom. 🙏💜😘

Wow, today marks the 10th year without you, my Mommy, Evans Nanny. I miss you more than words could ever say. It hasn’t gotten easier and I’m definitely not the same person I once was.  I love you Mom and miss you terribly. 🙏💜

I’m sitting in my car listening to my Church radio, getting home after driving Evan to school. Oh, you would be so proud of him Mom. He’s a Freshman in high school this year, has his first girlfriend-she’s a doll. Yesterday was 7 years since you left us… I was at work so it made it a little easier. I’m off today and it’s raining, thundering and lightning. 
I just cannot believe it’s 7 years. I’ve never been the same Mom. Words cannot describe the huge hole in my heart. It seems like everyone has moved on while I’m still stuck just trying to do life on auto pilot. Just wanted to leave you a message- I obviously did not forget about you yesterday. I love you Mommy! Please God help me to continue to be the best Mom for Evan, I try to raise him with the love and compassion you always showed me Mom. I love you and miss you so much. XO 

Happy Birthday Mommy. Life has never been the same since you left us, you took a huge piece of me with you.  I just wish I could have our daily chats, the little things. Hi, Mom. This past Friday was 5 years without you. I can't believe it's been 5 years. I watched the video of your time here. It's really nice. I wish you were here to see how well I'm doing. I'm hardly perfect, but Michael and I got married 2 years ago in June. We got married up at the Live Oak property. Sandy , Matthew, Michael me and the Officiant were there. Matthew was my ringbearer,  "flowerboy", Best man and videographer. He's too much. I wish I saw Evan and Kimmie. I heard Rich got re-married. Mom (sandy) got diagnosed with Dementia. Tammy put her in a nursing home without even telling Michael and I. That stuff wouldn't happen if you were still here. We are going down to Palm Beach County to spend Thanksgiving with Mia and the girls. I'm super excited. I know how much you love Thanksgiving. I hope you are at peace. I know you will be waiting for us when our time comes. I love you so much. I miss you just as much. Keep an eye out for all of us down here. Drop in from time to time and let me know you're ok. 

Dear Kimmi and Keri,

I am so very sad to hear that your precious mom passed.  I will always remember her contagious laughter, friendship, and the  love she had for you - her precious "girls".   Mat and I have fun memories of when we lived across from you in Lake Colony and the time we all went trick or treating  on Halloween, and clanging pots on New Years Eve. She was dearly loved.   



I am shocked and so very sorry to learn of Doris' passing nearly a year ago. I just looked for her on Facebook and was led here.  We worked together 20-25 years ago in several psychiatric hospitals in Florida. We found each other again years later. There were so many funny stories, fun times, laughing until we could hardly breathe. I'll never forget her smile, her laugh, her warmth and caring for others. Later, we had a misunderstanding, and never worked it out. I always thought I would talk to her again. All I can do is pray. I am so sorry, and cannot imagine the devastation of her family, as she loved everyone so. RIP beautiful soul.

Four months ago today. That sounds so much longer than it feels.
You'll always be missed and never forgotten as long as we're all here.

Tomorrow, or today by the time this gets posted, will bee the first Christmas in 18 years without you. 
If it weren't for Evan, we wouldn't have done anything. But I got the out side lights up just in time for him to see them when he got home from school. Also dragged the tree down from attic, heavy sucker! Seems like a good deal though. Second year much easier than first to get together. Lights all work, Evan was thrilled. He's been decorating a lot of the afternoon. He wants to help us so badly, but everything is for him. The ornaments worked I think. He seemed happy, except for the couple he broke.just told him we lose a couple every year.

It's been harder every day closer to Christmas. So many "firsts" so soon after losing you. 

First the viewing and the then the funeral next day. That was more or less a blur. Your service was on Dad's birthday. Just a coincidence I didn't even realize until later.

Anyway, then we had your birthday, then Halloween. I know you loved that one. Going trick or treating with Evan.

Then came Evan's birthday party. Not sure how we managed it, but everyone who was invited came, about 12 kids, on short notice. We had it at cheeseburgers and more. Probably be the last of these "event "parties. Nub the said it was the best party ever. He sure missed you, though. We almost forgot about it while planning everything for you. I hope you liked it. I tried to get everything in there possible. Missed the bagpipes, though, sorry.

Next, a few days later was Evan's actual birthday, then thanksgiving and nor Christmas.

Maybe it's best to get them all out of the way at once, but it's been very hard. We miss you terribly, and each event just reinforces that. 

I hate to say it, but I know Christmas wasn't your favorite, so I guess it's ok. But I just can't wait for these darn holidays to be over! Then maybe we can grieve normally. I eat about once every 4 days and sleep maybe 6-8 hours a week. I think getting all these holidays behind us will enable us to try to get a regular routine going. Kimmi's gotta get to work, I need to do SOMETHING. And Evan just needs to be Evan .

We love you, sweetheart. We're going to try for midnight mass at St Patrick's, but think we're all too pooped. We'll light a candle here for you for sure. You're very missed here in our home. I don't know how to fill the void you left when you left us.

I guess it was the hope that kept me going. The hope we'd get our lives back, reconnect and get back to where we were. That hope died with you. I'm sorry we never got to see those days again.

3 months ago yesterday. It still just seems like days. I'm still shocked each morning I wake up and realize you're no longer with us. Love forever + 1. That's what we always said. Certainly still holds for me. Love you.

I hope you realize how much you are loved and missed. The adjustment to life without you is very hard, painful, and on going.
Two months ago today we had your service. I haven't spent a day since without wishing things couldn't have gone differently. We still need you, but know you're watching over us.

Hi Mom. It is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, dreary and cold. This has been one of my most painful mornings, since you have been gone. The only way I can make it through my days is honestly to try and put it out of my mind. Thanksgiving being here I am forced to deal with life without you. I am making your sweet potato casserole...not my way. Following your  instructions exactly, from a hand written paper that has got to be as old as me..lol  I AM SO THANKFUL TO HAVE HAD THE MOST AMAZING WOMAN FOR A MOTHER AND BEST FRIEND.  I love you Mom.

Two months ago today, we had to say goodbye. But yesterday we prepped the area for your new tree, and today is the day it will actually get installed. I hope you like it as it's for you.
Talk to us when you can. We miss you very much. Our home lost a lot of joy when we lost you. It's hard to find again, but we will.

I was shocked to learn of Doris' passing and my deepest sympathy to her family.  Doris and I were friends at the gym and had many laughs.  When my mom passed away it was Doris who comforted me with humorous stories of her mom.  She also encouraged me to get the book "feathers that brush my heart"... It helped immensely with the loss of my mom.
I often ran into her with Evan at Latte Fun and the last time I saw her was at Bloomingdale's a few years ago... Looking beautiful as always.
Again, my heartfelt sympathy...

Mom, its 2 months ago today i had to call 911 because as you, Evan and I were being silly, laughing our butts off to your Richard Simmons impression..i relized you were having a stroke. The scariest moment of my life. I know that is how you would have wanted it. laughing,  being silly w Evan. And i know it was no coincidence that you and i had that entire week prior together. I miss you so much Mom. As soon as the pain starts to subside, its back just as fast. I love you. Always and Forever.

 I miss you so much, words can not explain. Every time I pass the Gardens exit on I95 and when its a very sunny day it brings back, "The good old days," we had. I talk to you a lot and I know you LOL at me about the things I only share with you, I certainly have a good laugh because I know what your replies would be. LOVE YOU,till next time.

Those first moments in the morning between sleep and  wakefulness are the most devastating. When I realize you're no longer with me, I wonder why I should even get up. Then I remember Evan, and Kimmi, and all the things we wanted to do. Those are the things that keep me going. I miss you.

One month today. God, it seems like just minutes ago.

We're taking out the Areca in back to plant another bottle brush for you, along with your Gardenia and the bird bath you loved to watch so much each evening.

Missing you terribly today. But having trouble dealing with some things I've discovered and now it's too late to talk about them. I love you much.

Kimmi went all over to find white, helium balloons. She got 4. One for each of us and one for you. We attached notes to the ribbons, said our thoughts, and let them go at dusk, your favorite time.
Evan cried his little eyes out, we all did, really. It was a good celebration. Happy Birthday!

Doris was a sister and an amazing friend to me for a very long time.  I've known her since she was 11. We had some crazy and amazing times in the Paterson household. I was so happy when I moved to Florida and she was close by.  Always there for me for advice and good times.  I will miss her dearly.  I admired her positive attitude as well as her giving nature. There was no better Nanny then her.   RIP my friend.  You will be in my thoughts always.

rich...i am very saddened to hear of your loss. i remember meeting doris in january of 2001 under circumstances that have brought you and me closley alligned for all of these years. the pictures are stunning and reflect such a consistant degree of happiness in her smile over the years. i lost my brother del under surprising conditions on sept 8 so i am currently in a grieving position as well. you have always exhibited noticable strength over the years. i admire your character traits..warm regards...dana

  Spent awhile looking at all the pictures your family put together, you were around 14 last time I saw you. To see the stages of your life with that same smiling face, and  eyes that said true happiness was finally achieved is all anyone can ever hope for in their life. As sad the circumstances you forever touched those around you. Enjoy heaven you earned it.

Doris and I have been friends since high school ,we shared fun,crazy times together,unbelievable memories will be with me forever. I am still in shock over the loss of my very dear friend.  Although our paths as adults took different directions,  the many fun experiences we shared when we were young and adventurous will always stand out in my mind.
