Edwin Jerome (Jerry) Dunbar died peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2023. Jerry was born in Elmira, New York on June 23, 1956. Jerry grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and was in the first 4-year graduating class at Palm Beach Gardens, High School in 1974. Jerry attended college at the University of Florida and was a big Gators fan. Jerry met his wife, Lesa Karle Dunbar, in 1984 and they worked on a dive boat in the Bahamas for a year together, which he often said was one of the happiest times of his life. Jerry and Lesa were married on April 22, 1989 and recently celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. Jerry was an avid fisherman and loved boating, snorkeling, and the ocean. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast, off-road and on-road and always enjoyed hitting the trails or back roads for a new adventure. Jerry is survived by his loving wife and two children, Chad Michael Dunbar and Karle Logan Dunbar, two brothers, Jimmy Dunbar and Bobby Dunbar, his mother, Nancy Henderson Dunbar, as well as many extended family members and close friends. He will be remembered for his boisterous spirit, quick wit, love of a good adventure and fierce devotion to his family and friends.
