Born in 1938 in New Britain, CT Eleanor received a Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut State College and a Master's Degree from Dartmouth College in 1978. She continued her education at the University of Florida, from which she received a degree as a Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist.
Eleanor taught English at Bloomfield High School then at Keene High School. In a career change she founded and ran Arbor Nursery in Keene, NH with her husband, Robert.
Eleanor loved working in the gardens around her home and volunteering at the Mounts Botanical Gardens, and at Grassy Waters Preserve.
Eleanor is predeceased by her husband, Robert and her son Michael. She is survived by her sister Maureen, her daughters, Alicia and Patrice, her son, Robert, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on January 7th at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 100 West 21st Street Riviera Beach, Florida. Reception to follow at Hilton Singer Island, 3700 North Ocean Drive. Call (540) 256-1340 for further information.
