Betsy is survived by her husband and soul mate of 59 years, Ronald Vaughan; her daughters Vicky Case and Jennifer Vaughan Maanavi; her sister Ann Hunter; and grandchildren, Alec, Presley, Halle and Cameron.
Born and raised in Bronxville, NY, the daughter of Lillian and Charles Jones, Betsy was a lifelong resident of Scarsdale, NY. Betsy and Ron divided their time between Scarsdale and North Palm Beach, FL beginning in 2002.
Betsy had a passion for making people feel loved, cared for, and special. To know Betsy was to join her family and be part of a community of kindness, giving and adventure. Betsy valued family, friends, and genuine personal connections. Above all, she took immense pride in her role as Nana to not only her beloved grandchildren, but also to the children in her extended family. Betsy also found great joy in her successful corporate career where she truly relished the friends she made over a span of 25 years.
Betsy was active in several organizations in Scarsdale and Palm Beach. She was on the Sustainer Board of The Junior League of The Palm Beaches; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; a committee member at Lost Tree Chapel Library; and a member of The Scarsdale Woman’s Club. Betsy was a student of life with an appetite for learning.
Celebration of her life to be announced.
