Ellen O'Hara Geary

Ellen O’Hara Geary, 84, of North Palm Beach, died peacefully at home on November 3, 2014. She was born March 11, 1930 in Endicott, NY. Ellen was one of 11 children of Vincent and Beatrice O’Hara. Ellen’s joy in life focused on her large family. She is predeceased in death by her husband of 48 years, Francis, and son-in-law, Thomas McGough. She is survived by her eight children: Julie (Frank Bandy), Carol, Sheila, Marie (Stig Jacobsen), Francis (Janet), Daniel, Clare (Art Mallen) and Matthew. Fifteen grandchildren: Kevin (Ali Francis), Meagan (Claes Bell) and Nick Bandy; Finn, Anna and Frederik Jacobsen; F. Byrne III and Emily Geary; Daniel Geary Jr. (Becky); Genevieve, Hannah & Hugh Mallen and Mairead, Cecilia and Lillian Geary. Five great grandchildren: Autumn and Lily and Miles Bandy; Jane and Charlotte Bell. She will be remembered for her devotion to her Catholic faith along with her dry humor and love of family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7 from 4-7 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417. A rosary service will begin at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 12 p.m. at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicholas Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
