Eric Edward O'Neal

Eric Edward O'Neal, age 52 passed away peacefully on July 26, 2020, shortly after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma. Eric was predeceased by his loving father William E. O'Neal in October of 2019 and is survived by his loving mother Linda Pipkin O'Neal and sister, Dawn O'Neal Ebright and her family, Marshall, Maleia and Marshall Benjamin Ebright.

Eric was born in Miami, Fl but lived in North Palm Beach, Fl all of his life. Eric was proud of his community and felt blessed to have been able to live a life in paradise. Eric attended the Benjamin School for his Elementary years and then made havoc on the North Shore High School Community for his High School years ...where he also made lifelong friends which he considered more like his family.

As a little boy Eric swam for the NPBCC swim team, however, his talent was not only in the pool but on a skateboard. Eric will be remembered by many for his talent of skating the bowls of Skate Safari. Eric's other passion, which followed him through the end of his life here on earth, was his love of the ocean and fishing. Eric worked to fish......Every weekend you could find Eric at Lakeside Park, on the sea wall by the rocks with his fishing pole in the water. And that is how we will all love to remember him. This was when he was the happiest.

It is still unbelievable to his family and friends that we will not be able to go find him at the park or hear his voice, or see his incredible smile, but we will cherish the memories of when we could. Eric will always be remembered for his great smile, his ability to talk to EVERYONE and his love of the water and fishing.

We ask that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his memory to the Florida Fishing Academy (floridafishingacademy.com). A memory has been created for donation and it would no doubt make Eric smile to know that in his memory a child that otherwise could not, would have the opportunity to experience the passion he had for the water and for fishing.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 29th from 5:30-8:00pm at 706 Lakeside Circle, North Palm Beach, Fl 33408. Please join us in sharing memories of Eric with food and drinks. We will scatter his ashes at sunset sometime between 7:15-7:45 over the rocks and water where he spent most of his happiest times. ( **In the event of inclement weather the alternate date would be the following Saturday, September 5th. **)
