Evelyn Marilyn Anderson

Evelyn Marilyn Anderson, age 84, of Singer Island, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 from Parkinson’s disease. Evelyn was the daughter of Martin and Martha Ring. She was born January 7, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to William J. Anderson for 54 years before he preceded her in death.

She graduated from Kelvyn Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout her life, she remained friends with ten of her elementary and high schoolmates. In 1954, she and her husband started Solar Precision Products. In 1964, they moved their company to Taylorsville, Mississippi where she lived until retiring to Singer Island, Florida in 1988. While living in Mississippi she became a member of the First Baptist Church, Music Club, and Garden Club.

Evelyn is survived by her children; son, Wayne and daughter-in-law Janet Anderson of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; her daughter, Wendy and son-in-law Ken Kennedy of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; and four grandchildren, Chris Anderson, David Anderson, Michael Kennedy, and Cheryl (Kennedy) Meeks; and seven great grandchildren Adam Anderson, William Anderson, Megan Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Audrey Kennedy, Hannah Kennedy, and Lily Meeks.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O.
