Frank A. Petitti, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on February 14, 2020, at the age of 78, due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Frank was born on March 18, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT. Growing up in Fairfield, he graduated from Andrew Ward High School and went on to attend the University of Connecticut, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. He later returned to UCONN, attaining a MBA.
Frank started his career with Dow Chemical in 1968, where he met his future wife, Mary. They were married in 1969 in Indianapolis where they remained before transferring with Dow to Midland, MI. Over the years, Frank’s career spanned many different areas within the company. After 31 years, Frank retired in 1999 as the worldwide director of Dow’s magnesium business.
Frank leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Mary; his two children, Frank J. Petitti of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Gina (Mark) Petitti-Kadrmas of Billings, MT, as well as his brother, Joseph Petitti of Golden, CO. Frank is also survived by his four granddaughters; Antonia, Lily, Sophia and Teddy, as well as five nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Petitti.
Visitation will be held at the Howard-Quattlebuam Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20th from 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola on Friday, February 21st, at 9:30 am. Burial will be at the Riverside Memorial Park at 12:15 pm on Friday, February 21st.
