

G. Richard Nisbeth (Rick), 78, passed away on January 30, 2026, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Rick lived a full and connected life, defined by family, friendship, curiosity, and generosity, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know him.
Rick was born on November 28, 1947, in Potsdam, New York, to George and Adriana Bettini Nisbeth. He was raised in North Palm Beach, Florida, where he fell in love with the ocean and discovered lifelong friendships.
He graduated from Riviera Beach High School in 1965 and went on to earn his degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1971, where he was a founding member of the Eta Mu chapter of Alpha Tau Omega (ATO).
Professionally, Rick built a distinguished career in commercial and investment banking with a talent to educate others and an entrepreneurial spirit. A savvy financial executive with a sharp mind and steady determination, he was respected for both his intelligence and wit. Rick had a gift for bringing people together and he believed deeply that family always came first.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Heather Nisbeth; through their relationship, he learned to observe more and lead less. He was a devoted father to his son, Eric (Courtney) Nisbeth, and a proud grandfather to Noah and Adriana Nisbeth. Rick found a new best buddy in Noah, sharing countless moments piloting remote boats in the pool, fishing, and nurturing a multi-generational love of the sea. When Adriana entered his world, he discovered the artist and musician within his own heart.
He is also survived by his brother, David (Marcy) Nisbeth; his in-laws, Robert and Meridy Thorn; his niece, Katie (Allen) Morgan; his nephew, Ben (Amanda) Nisbeth; and his loyal dog, Charlie.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, George Nisbeth; his mother, Adriana Bettini Nisbeth; his niece, Rachel Nisbeth; and his cherished dog, Maggie.
A passionate and accomplished fisherman, Rick cherished creating memories on the Gulf Stream as the proud captain of the Ricreation. He delighted in surrounding himself with art, music, beauty, and conversation. Generous, charismatic, and dependable, Rick was the most loyal friend, a trusted advisor, and a natural connector who never met a stranger.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud and expressive father, and a man who offered both wisdom and warmth freely.
