Gary R. Krielow was born on April 9,1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Orville & Nelle Krielow. In 1952, the family moved to Lauderdale by the Sea, FL, where Gary spent his years growing up near the beach and enjoying swimming, fishing and sea turtle nesting walks. He graduated from Pompano Beach Senior High School, and graduated from the University of Miami, FL with a degree in Accounting and obtained his CPA.
Known affectionately by many as "Gary the Great", Gary attracted people to him with his sense of humor and friendly, outgoing personality. He was the life of the party, and never met a stranger. He had a way of connecting with people everywhere he went, and he made others feel important and valued. We will miss his laughter and great story-telling.
Gary served many families, businesses and organizations throughout his years. He was a founding partner in the firm: Lamn, Krielow, & Dytrych, CPA, in Jupiter, FL. He was an active volunteer and leader in many organizations: The Forum Club, Palm Beach County Leadership Organization, Palm Beach Sports Commission, The Northern Palm Beaches Chamber of Commerce, The Palm Beach County Hurricane Club, Planning and Zoning committee for the city of Palm Beach Gardens, Nativity Lutheran Church Council, Kiwanis of Riviera Beach, among others. He was known as a competent, thoughtful and successful businessman, and was frequently asked for his advice; both personal and in business. His leadership in these organizations is a testament to his abilities to improve the local community.
Go Canes! Gary enjoyed tailgating for University of Miami Hurricanes football games with his family and a dedicated group of friends for over 30 years. Gary also enjoyed weekend motorcycle rides and cross-country excursions on his Harley Davidson with wife Sally and a core group of lifelong friends. He owned several classic cars: 1958 Corvette, 1971 Corvette Stingray, 1981 Corvette, 1991 ZR-1 Corvette, 1957 Chevy Bel Aire.
Most of all, Gary was a loyal and devoted husband to Sally. They were married 53 years, and shared a lifetime of love, adventure and companionship that is admired and is an inspiration to those who spent time with them. Gary’s passion for family, career, community involvement, football and great rides was really about the people he shared them with. He was an extrovert, and his delight in being with others is what gave him true joy.
