I always enjoyed taking to Larry about birds and actually wanted to call him in February while wandering around Wakodahachee, but didn't have his number on me. Good memories at Locust too. Great to have known him.

Yesterday the Hess family popped into my mind. So because it's the age of global connection, decided to look them up.

I seem to get that a lot. People I haven't thought of in a long time pop into my mind so I look them up. Find out they ascended a week to ten days prior.

It is validation that we are connected across God's universe in perpetuity.

Was talking to my husband about Bible study and how fun Larry's Bible studies are. I say "are" because I don't believe in locked-in time anymore. But his Bible studies were so cool and intelligent.

I will light a candle on his behalf in Munich.

Larry was such a good friend to us! Even when we moved away, he and Sharon continued to two of our best friends! In fact, we even chose them as godparents for our younger son. Our hearts go out to his beautiful family. Heaven is rejoicing although we will miss him greatly! But praise God we will be reunited some day! Prayers and ((hugs)).

My Uncle Larry was a brilliant man with the greatest sense of humor. He was also kind and caring like his father, my grandfather, Henry Lawrence Sr. Uncle Larry wisely chose his life partner Sharon, whom he loved and adored. Together they raised three beautiful daughters , my cousins Janet, Meg and Laura. My uncle had a very successful career achieving much professionally. Uncle Larry was also very devoted to his church and he loved birding and photographing many beautiful and rare species.

To my Aunt Sharon and cousins, I extend my deepest sympathies. H. Lawrence Hess, Jr. will be missed by many. I hope you take comfort in knowing that he was blessed to have you as his family, a family that afforded him the good life that he had.

Rest in peace Uncle Larry.
