Irma Linda Cantone

Our beloved Mimi, 97, of palm Beach Gardens via Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on September 20, 2026 at Home Suite Home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

She was born on May 27,1929 in Italy before coming to the United States in 1930 with her parents and 3 siblings to Davis, WV. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Antonetta (Natale) Cantone and eventual sibling to 7 brothers and sisters. The family moved to Cumberland, Maryland in June 1943 and had a grocery store next to their home on Greene Street. True to Mimi’s desire to serve, she became a nurse and worked in a Catholic hospital in Norristown PA for 45 years before retiring to Port St Lucie, Fl in 1995 where her Florida family excitedly welcomed her arrival and the start of 31 years of Florida memories.

She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St Lucie Florida. Mimi took active church parishioner as her mission from God. She lived each day anchored in prayer and deeply devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Padre Pio. Through the countless rosaries she lovingly hand-crafted, she wove her devotion into a gift that touched countless lives, creating tangible instruments of prayer and peace for everyone around her. Her heart’s greatest desire was that everyone she met might experience the mercy, light, and transforming love of Jesus. Mimi’s spiritual legacy lives on in the hearts she turned toward God and the constant prayer she brought into the world. May she rest eternally in the sweet embrace of Our Lord and His Holy Mother.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Nicholas, Joseph and Frank and sisters Josephine, Geraldine and Regina. She is survived by her beloved sister Amy Fazio and husband Vince of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; sister-in-law Elaine Cantone of Perryville, MD, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
