J. George Moore, age 81, passed away September 22, 2016. George was born to Merilda and Eugene Moore on May 2, 1935 in Somersworth, New Hampshire. He graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute and served in the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany. George worked in engineering at Johns Manville in Manville, New Jersey before moving to Florida. He also worked as a real estate broker, and later as a property appraiser, retiring from the Palm Beach County Tax Appraiser’s office. George enjoyed fishing and traveling.
George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth Ann (nee Elliott) Moore from New Market, New Jersey; his son, David (Gina) Moore; his granddaughter, Megan Moore; his sister, Laurette Fisher of Northfield, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
Our thanks to hospice for their excellent care. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 10am at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Inurnment to take place at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida on a later date
