

Jacqueline M. Knox, affectionately known as Jackie, grandma and “GiGi” to her family, friends, and cherished grandchildren, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 21, 1936, in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Jacqueline was the daughter of Dan and Rose Marketti. She graduated from Altoona High School and pursued a career as a cosmetologist, dedicating her talents to enhancing the beauty and confidence of her clients.
In 1973, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Robert T. Knox, and together they built a family rooted in love and togetherness over their 52 years of marriage. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession, as she also served as a caretaker for several families within her community. Jacqueline found joy in scrapbooking, reading, singing, and listening to music. Above all, she treasured moments spent with her family, including her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends she considered family.
Jacqueline is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Knox; her four loving daughters: Sharon (Kenny) Resmondo, Debbie (Mack) Butterfield, Robin (Doug) Beard, Judy Dill (Doug Roberts). She was the proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Jenna (Joe) Richardson, Aleisha (Wayne) Lyon, Justin Resmondo, Michelle (Dike) Raney, Eric (Courtney) Swope, Nikole Powers, Victoria Beard, Lauren (Wesley)Warner, Alyssa (Olivia) Setliff, Stevie (Doug) Slifer, and Katlyn (Scott) Delaney; and the adoring great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren; Hannah, Jacob, Caleb, and Daniel Richardson; Emma Libby, and Mea Lyon; Tyler and Skylar Raney; Cooper and Quinn Swope; Marley and Koda Warner; Nate Williams; Easton and Jade Coady; Tucker and Aria Slifer; and Emerson and Jackson Delaney.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Rose Marketti; her sisters, Donna Lee (Fred) Reighard and Rose Marie (Dick) Mikolajczyk; and her brother, Daniel Marketti.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate Jacqueline’s life will be held on March 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Moose Lodge, located at 3600 RCA Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. In lieu of flowers, Jacqueline requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Trustbridge Hospice. Donations to St. Jude can be made online.
