Age 81, of Palm Beach, formerly of Stamford, Ct. and Albany, NY. passed away on July 4, 2012. James was born on August 24, 1930 to parents James E. McGrath Sr. and Dorothy Bergen. He was a beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather.
James, together with the late Bonnie Jean Bowman McGrath were the proud parents of their seven children; Catherine, Michael, Maureen, Erin, James III, Sean and Marilyn. He also leaves behind his sister; Kay Rogler(Frank), brother; Kevin McGrath(Chris), fourteen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved companion, Ann Wolfe of Palm Beach, Fl.
James grew up in Albany, NY., graduated CBA in 1948, Union College in 1952 and Albany Law School in 1957. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the New York, Connecticut and Virginia Bar Associations, and the North Palm Beach Rotary Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Rd., North Palm Beach, Fl. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 1:00pm.
Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 S.E. County Line Rd., Tequesta, Fl.
