Jesselyn B. Huey

Jesselyn Bryan Huey passed away on June 23rd, 2021. She was born in Mobile, was a long time resident of North Palm Beach, former owner of the Bonanza Restaurant in North Palm Beach and 30+ year volunteer of Hospice of Palm Beach County.

Jesselyn Bryan Huey was born on May 6th, 1927 in Mobile, AL. Jesselyn moved from Mobile, AL to Philadelphia, PA where she married Robert Huey on November 24th, 1948. In January of 1952 Jesselyn and Robert had a son Michael Stacey Huey. Jesselyn, Robert and Michael then moved from Philadelphia, PA to Bethlehem when Michael was 3 years old. In 1962 the Huey’s moved to North Palm Beach, FL, where they settled where they later opened the Bonanza Restaurant. Jesselyn lived the remainder of her life in North Palm Beach, FL and Palm Beach Gardens, FL where she was known to many as a great mother, grandmother and friend. As a longtime volunteer (30+ years) at Hospice of Palm Beach County, Jesselyn spent many hours weekly volunteering in the Hospice resale shop in Juno Beach, FL to help Hospice support the mission of caring for local residents with serious illness as well as supporting their families in their time of need.

Jesselyn Bryan Huey is survived by her brother William Bryan; one son, Michael Stacey Huey, Palm Beach Gardens; 2 grandchildren, Bryan Eng Huey (Lynda) & Anthony “Tony” Eng Huey (Brittany); 1 great-grandchild Lily. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Huey; father, Elbert Bryan; mother, Lillian Bryan; and brother, Harvey Bryan.

Viewing will be held at 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM and funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach; following the funeral service an Entombment will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469. Friends may attend at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 1, from 11:00 AM through service time and then proceed to Riverside Memorial Park, if friends and family wish, for the Entombment.
