Josephine Ferricane

Josephine Ferricane, the heart of our family, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, at the age of ninety-nine. Born on March 10, 1927, to John and Rose Sciara who immigrated from Sicily, she was the youngest of seven siblings.

In her earlier years, Josephine had a lengthy and rewarding career working in the banking industry’s student loan department where she enjoyed helping college bound students.

Josephine is predeceased by her beloved husband Natale whom she deeply missed and loved dearly. Married for sixty years, theirs was a love story like no other. Their love and commitment to each other and to their family were immeasurable.

Josephine’s happiest moments were spent with her family, usually sharing a delicious dish of pasta followed by coffee and cake. She is survived by her three devoted children and spouses Richard (Mary Ellen), Robert (Paulette), and Kathy (Peter), as well as eight adoring grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Josephine was their “Dollface, Gigi, and Grandma”, and she meant the world to them.

Josephine was a woman of faith and resilience and will be remembered for her immeasurable love of her family. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, joy, and blessings. Those who were fortunate enough to know her and her kindness were blessed in return. Josephine leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and beautiful memories shared. With this tremendous loss we have gained an angel to watch over us and to be with us always. Her love will forever remain in our hearts.
