A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2021. Born in West Prussia (now Poland) in 1937, Karen fled to West Germany as a refugee at the end of WWII. As a teen, she lived with a foster family near Bremen. She emigrated to New York in 1957. Karen worked for many years as a legal secretary and later for the German translation unit at the United Nations. She married Armando Pieri in 1960. Karen lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the mid 1980s. In 1986, she moved to Miami, where she later married Albert Ebstein. Albert and Karen lived in Golden Beach until Albert’s passing in 2000.
Karen will be greatly missed by her son Dean, daughter Vivien, daughter Claudia, and son David and their spouses and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
