Lisa Swint Petersen

November 5, 1955 to July 21, 2026

Lisa Petersen of North Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday July 21, 2026 after suffering an injury. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents Jo Ann Swint and Robert L. Swint, her brother Richard Swint and her son John Thomas Petersen.

Lisa was born on November 5, 1955 in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising. FSU is also where Lisa met her husband of 47 years, Thomas Petersen. Lisa lived in North Palm Beach and had a long career as the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Manalapan until her retirement in 2022. Her greatest joys were spending time with her daughter, playing with her grandchildren, enjoying live music and watching the Atlanta Braves. In her free time she enjoyed volunteering at her grandson’s elementary school and participating in water aerobics.

Lisa is survived by her husband Thomas Petersen, her daughter Erika Petersen and son-in-law Julio Mejia, her two grandsons Soren Mejia and Holden Mejia, her brother Robert A. Swint and her six loving nieces.

The family wishes to thank our friends for their generous support as well as the ICU staff at St. Mary’s for their exceptional care, compassion and support.

She will be greatly missed and forever remembered for her beautiful smile.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
