Louise Antoinette Meletta

Louise (LuLu) Antoinette Meletta (nee. Ferro), passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on May 6, 2016. She was born on July 11, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York to Luigi and Carmelo Ferro. Louise was predeceased by her husband Arthur Meletta.

Louise leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Arthur M. Meletta and his wife, Elizabeth of Sparta NJ, her daughter Lisa Pettry and her husband, Brian of Titusville, Florida, her sister Josephine Parisi of Brooklyn, NY, her brother Michael Ferro of North Palm Beach, FL, her grandsons, Matthew Frank and his wife Ashley, Jonathan Frank, Nicholas Meletta and Aaron Pettry, her step granddaughters Amanda Keane and her husband Trevor, and Samantha Pettry, her great grandchildren Mila Frank and Mitchell Frank, relatives, loving friends and her beloved dog, Benji.

Louise worked in various positions throughout her lifetime but her most rewarding and satisfying job was that of mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved attending to her beautiful garden and kept her tradition of always cooking Sunday dinner. She enjoyed her daily walks with her dog and socializing with her neighbors. Louise will be remembered by all for her strength, courage, independence, generosity and her quest to stay in touch by surprising everyone with her astute social media skills.

She will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Howard – Quattlebaum Funeral Home in North Palm Beach. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church in North Palm Beach.

Should friends and relatives desire, donations can be made in her name to the National Kidney Foundation or to the Miami Transplant Institute.
