Margaret attended Woodrow Wilson High School and continued her education at Purdue University. She then married Joseph DeStefano on September 30, 1954. They were happily married for 51 years until his passing.
Margaret worked as a bookkeeper in the credit department at Gold Triangle. She also worked for the Palm Beach Gardens YMCA and St. Mary’s Medical Center. She did this for 30 years.
Margaret enjoyed reading, dogs (especially pugs) and British Royalty.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen DeStefano of North Cape May, NJ, Chris DeStefano of Lake Park, FL, and John DeStefano of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; daughters Tina Gonzales (Renato) of Lutz, FL, Jeannie Lavoie of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Marianne DeStefano-Hill of Salem, OR; and grandchildren Brad and Allison Lavoie of NYC and Nick (Bri) and Shawn Hill of Salem, OR.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Malriat and her husband Joseph DeStefano.
