She is survived by her sons Bruce (Nanette) Missett, Mark (Marilyn) Missett and her daughter Valerie Missett. She was Known as "Nannie" to her seven grand children Megan (Corey) Greenwald, Kevin Sean Missett,
Christopher (Limarie), Patrick (Jennifer), and Alexandra Missett, Jennifer Missett and Jackie (Emmanuel) Pacius and five great grandchildren Matthew Missett, Taran and Declan Greenwald and Holley and Timothy Pacius.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son Kevin Missett and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth in addition to her husbands Peter Missett and Eugene Grall.
Margaret (Marge)was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on July 18, 1917. She graduated with honors from Dickerson High School. Since the opportunities to attend college were limited, especially for women, Marge continued to take adult education courses in Business, Business Accounting and Business Law. She was know for her singing and contest winning dance skills.
Just prior to WWII, Marge married Peter Missett, a Jersey City fireman. In 1947, they moved to Point Pleasant , New Jersey. While raising their family, Marge was offered the job as the first woman police officer in Ocean County, New Jersey.
Later her career shifted when she became the assistant to the Secretary of the Board of Education and in 1970, she became Secretary of the Board of Education/Business Manager.. In that capacity Marge handled the business matters and funding for the school system including the founding of Point Pleasant Boroughs first high school.
After the death of her first husband, she married Eugene Grall, a United States Marine vet who served in WWII in the Pacific Theater. They moved to Florida in 1979. Their love of travel took them to many counties. Two of Marge's favorite memories included having an audience with Pope John Paul and kissing the Blarney Stone.
Marge lived a full life and handled adversity with strength and dignity. Her family will miss her sense of humor and listening to her century's worth of stories.
