Peggy was the nurse we all aspired to be, smart, kind, gentle and classy.  It was an honor to know her for so many years at JFK and her nursing cap will not be forgotten!  My prayers are with her family at this time.

I worked with Peggy for years in critical care. She was a wonderful lady and a great nurse with a sweet, caring disposition. She will be greatly missed. My sympathy to her entire family.

Dear Whalen family.  Peggy was my dear friend for 59 years.  We shared a time, history and a profession together.  In nurses training we were know as the three S's Peggy Sudman, Joan Schaffer and Alice Shoplock.  This training was tough and extensive.  We were trained on all floors and in all departments and had active involvement with the care of the victims of the 3 airplane crashes in Elizabeth.  We all accomplished our goals to go on and become registered nurses.  As time went by, we raised our familes and shared the joys and sorrows that only friends are able to do.  For a time each year, Peggy would come to NJ and spend time with my family and attend the nurses luncheon.  We all enjoyed this time together.  Once when my daughter , Ann was making a miniature Christmas tree for her sister, Patricia  and could not find an angel for the top,. Peggy found one in Florida and sent it up to us.  It was Peggy who helped our family put our belopved family dog down.  This was Pegg kind and thoughtful always willing to help.  We all have fond memories of her.  The last time I saw Peggy was at my 50th wedding anniversary.  She looked beautiful and this is how I remember her beautiful, caring, lovely Peggy, my friend. Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mother, grandmother.  Due to illness, I cannot join you at the services. I will miss my mother in law very much. She was such a wonderful, loving, thoughtful person who really cared about others, especially her family. I am glad she is now in a better place, but she will be missed and never forgotten. We love you, Peggy.

there are no words to describe how much I miss my Nana already. Sometimes I feel ok...because I know shes with my Grandfather, my Dad and my Uncle. But sometimes the overwhelming sadness washes over me; knowing I will never again hear her voice, hear her stories or tell her how much I love her. I wish I had more time. I wish I visited more. I wish she was still here. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, strongest people I know. I was lucky to have her in my life in any way, but even luckier that she was my Grandmother. I miss her so much already, but know that she is at peace and welcomed by the rest of our family-she will always be missed, loved and never forgotten. I love you Nana...
