Nancy Hurst Woodall

Nancy Hurst Woodall, age 84, died peacefully on January 22, 2015. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee but moved to Florida in 1953. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Curtis Woodall and her son, John Gordon Woodall. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jane Bush and her husband Harry; her grandsons, Doug (Gillian) and Curtis (Lindsey); her great-grandson, Nathan Carter Bush; her sister, Jane Sharp; and her brother, Herbert Hurst. She is also survived by many special family members and friends in Tennessee and Kentucky. Nancy graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1950 and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was a career educator.

Nancy loved playing bridge, sharing stories, singing the Tennessee Waltz and hymns, and her family and friends. She never met a stranger. Her greatest joy was being grandmother to Doug and Curtis

Nancy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26 at 10:00am at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Friends may gather prior to the service from 9:00am-10:00am. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Worth Dollars for Scholars, 1701 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth, FL 33460 or Hospice of Palm Beach County Music Therapy Program, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
