Pamela Dawn (Northern) Duke of Jupiter, FL went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. She was adored by her family and friends and will be remembered for her joyful and loving spirit. Pam was a follower of Christ and attended First United Methodist Church of Jupiter in recent years.
Pam was born in Jefferson City, Tennessee. As a child, her family moved to Florida. She was a graduate of Lake Worth High School (Class of ’67). Pam attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Pam had a zest for life; she loved excitement and travel. She first worked as a flight attendant and then as a travel agent. Her parents, John and Dorothy Northern, were avid world travelers. Pam eventually transitioned into a successful career as a real estate agent who worked alongside her husband and broker, Kenneth Duke, in both residential and commercial sales in Palm Beach County.
Pam and Ken were married for 47 years prior to his passing in April of 2017. They had six children. Pam spent her life dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved them well and was a beautiful example of how to live a life of faith, hope and joy. She brought happiness to the lives of those around her with her optimism and enthusiasm. She loved the beach, coffee and dancing! She would tell anyone who would listen how much God had blessed her with a wonderful family and a beautiful place to live in South Florida.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; daughter, Angela; parents, John and Dorothy Northern; and sister, Deborah Albert. Pam is survived by her children: Ken (Denise) Duke, Tara (Steve) Nickerson, Russell (Shanna) Duke, Deborah (Brit) Oster, and Jackie (Matt) Feaganes; as well as 12 beautiful grandchildren: Caleb, Jillian and Aubrey Duke, Ashlyn (Kory) Nickerson Henke, Cameron and Gavin Nickerson, Michael and Kaylee Duke, Hope Brown, Mattie Duke, Macy and Noah Feaganes, and one great-granddaughter, Saige Nickerson. She is also survived by her dear younger brother, John Wesley Northern of West Palm Beach.
Pam will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth on Monday, October 24th at 10:30am. While all who wish to attend are welcome, this will be a very brief burial service due to the nature of the time allotted by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her family invites you to join them in a full celebration of Pam’s life at First United Methodist Church (815 E Indiantown Rd, Jupiter) at 3pm the same day. In honor of Pam’s joyous and free spirit, they invite you to dress in colorful attire. Or, as Pam would wish, whatever makes you happy! In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to First United Methodist Church of Jupiter in Pam’s name.
