Patricia Lamoureux Boyd

Massachusetts on September 2, 1935, to Lionel and Dometilde (Tillie) Lamoureux. Pat was the captain of her high school basketball team, The Terrors, at Saint Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg. She moved to Palm Beach County Florida with three of her girlfriends in 1957, renting an apartment downtown and working at Sears and later in the secretarial pool at Pratt & Whitney. At Pratt she met her husband of 64 years, Robert F. Boyd, Sr.

Pat leaves behind two daughters, Donna and Amy, her beloved brother Donnie, and two grandsons, William and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lee, husband, Robert F. Boyd, Sr., and their son, Robert F. Boyd, Jr..

A longtime resident of Palm Beach Gardens, Pat was actively involved in her community, volunteering with Lighthouse for the Blind and every school event ever for her 3 children. She and Bob were founding members of Saint Ignatius Parish, attending the first masses in the Gardens high school gymnasium and proudly engraving their names on a stone added to the foundation of the original church in the early 1970s. She was a dedicated volunteer for many years at the church. She also participated in various tennis and bowling leagues and was an avid senior center Bingo player.

A funeral mass for Patricia will be held on March 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, followed by an interment of ashes at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
