Pete was one of my best friends since freshmen in high school . WE had thousands of shared memories with friends and wives and family . He never missed calling me every Sunday in later years to see how I'm ding . Miss those calls ! Time goes by too quickly . Miss you Pete !!-Frank

 blessing knowing him was. He had such a big heart and made everyone feel special! Rest In Peace with the angels my friend.

For many years my family and I lived right across from the Irvington police station. And we had the opportunity to know some of the best cops ever. And Pete was DEFINITELY one of the best!I feel honored to have known him and extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

Thinking of Pete and the many years he and the rest of the Irvington Police Department were such a part of my extended family. I can not remember a day that I didn’t enjoy seeing Pete. The memories of those days come flooding back. 

Speaking with Pete after my Dad’s passing was so rewarding and comforting. Knowing that they are both above reminiscing about those days brings tears of joy to my face. I know how special he was to my dad (Basil) and have no doubt out Lord is saying, “ Well done my good and faithful son!”

Peter and I met after we both went through a serious MVA via his sister, Linda, 24 yrs ago. His friendship has been sacred just because of his uniqueness, kind and Spiritual heart, his constant love of Family and others Over the years, he met and married Linda and I got to meet her. Thank you Linda for keeping in touch. 











  Peter and I chatted often about life, families, growth. Faith, and work (I'm a RN ). I will not only miss Peter, but most of all his positive and kind words in any circumstances. Love you my dear friend, RIP, Ciao Ciao, Lady Di

We met at church, but our friendship transcended into fun lunches, brunch, reminiscences of all things Italy.  When Joe had surgery at Jupiter you took the initiative to approach the OR and find out why his surgery was two hours overdue!  When he was readmitted to the hospital, you popped in to say a cheery hello every day - lifting his spirits.  Your caring ways were so very welcome.

My name is Shimeka and I work in the Laboratory at JMC.  Pete and I worked together and he was the nicest guy we reminisced about New York a lot. He would always see my husband John and tell him to say Hi to me.  He always sang parts of songs and gave the best hugs. He will be greatly missed.

I am a nurse at JMC, Peter always said hello and asked how I was doing. He always had a smile on his face and I enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed dearly. Prayers for his family.

I am a nurse at JMC and saw Peter not only as a pt several times but also as a hard working, dedicated and always smiling volunteer! He always had a positive upbeat attitude and a huge smile on his face! No matter how bad of a day u were having peter always made u smile! He was loving, caring, and thoughtful , and dedicated a lot of his time to helping others! I will miss u my friend and your smile! God bless u and keep u In his care now!

I worked for JMC for 17 yrs and was very ill , in and out of the hospital every few months . peter would Alway make it a point to make sure I had visitors, he was a kind gentle man . May he Rest In Peace gone but not forgotten 

It’s difficult to say goodbye to someone who always made me feel so special, welcome and loved.  Peter dearly loved Linda and was such a proud Dad and Grandfather.  I’m sure he’s got a special place in Heaven for all the goodness he shared on earth.  

Peter was a great friend.  Always there when you needed someone to talk to.  We were in the Army together and were known as "The 3 Amigos"-Pete, Chuck & Joe.  We did everything together. It started at Ft. Mead & ended in Vietnam.  We sang Doowop in our tent at night.  He was something-he always sang the lead.  Chuck & I will really miss you.  We loved you like a brother. You will be in our hearts forever.  We know we will see you again & Heaven will never be the same.

I first met Peter in 1966 when we were in the Army. We spent one year in Vietnam and became close friends. After Vietnam we went our separate ways and lost touch.   One day 40 years later I came home to a message on the answering machine asking if this was the person who he served with   I'll always remember the reunion we had in Florida when we met after 40 years.
Since then we talked about once a month to discuss  old  times, families, and compare ailments.  Peter always looked forward to the trips to Colorado to see his daughter and her family. I will miss him and the calls. To Linda and all of Peters family you have my deepest sympathy. 

I have known Peter my whole life. Peter was my father’s best friend as well as my best friend’s father. We have been on amazing family vacations where we all laughed till it hurt.  What  I remember most about Peter was how deeply he loved the people in his life.  Peter adored his daughter,  Kimmie and his wife, Linda.  Peter never met a stranger.  He could talk to anybody.  I honor his dedication to his country when he served in Vietnam, and then when he served his community as a police officer in NY.  Even in his retirement, Peter volunteered his time at the hospital to help those less fortunate.   If you knew Peter, you were blessed.  Peter is a  loving and kind soul , a friend, a father , a husband,  a brother, a grandfather,  an officer, a soldier and a man who will be missed but never forgotten.   Simply,  Peter  made the world a better place , I love him and I celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the people he loved.

I have lost one of my oldest and dearest friend . Peter was a warm and gentle friend who always made time to call and check on me and my family . We had some great times together and I will miss him deeply . My heart goes out to his daughter Kim and wife Linda whom he cherished . I’m sure he is with his good friend George and that makes me smile 

My thoughts and  prayers  are with  Linda  he was a wonderful  person  I can remember  him bye seating  with him in Calif and laughing  rest in peace  see you agin much love the Upshaw family

Such a sweet man. He always made me feel welcome in the family, and always engaged so lovingly with my kids (his nephews). I'll remember him for being such a gentle, kind soul, and I'm grateful for all the interactions I've had with him.

Peter and I volunteered at JupiterMedicalCenter each Friday. When he missed a week, it wasn't the same as Peter would brighten up a room when he entered it. If you just met him, you would think you knew him all your life.  He was a wonderfully unique individual . We will miss you my friend.

 I have been very fortunate to have volunteered with Peter for the last 6 1/2 years at  Jupiter medical center.  He was always so kind and helpful and enjoyed helping people and being there to support all those that worked with him. I will miss him and I will miss the wonderful friendship that we had. Rest in peace my dear friend. 

I volunteered with peter at Jupiter medical center for many years. peter was always a caring and good person. always enjoyed his company and his many stories. our Friday morning group will miss him dearly. may he rest in peace in the glory of heaven. 

Peter was my very first friend when I moved to Florida 26 years ago and remained my dear friend.  He was such a sweet and caring friend, always wanting to help people.  He helped me with his dear friend George to make sure that the house I was buying was made well and encouraged me to take it.  We shared many memories (all of them good) and I will miss his calls to me almost every day just to check in and see if I am okay.  He was a devout Catholic and made sure he went to Mass every Saturday evening at St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens.  I believe he is now at rest with all the people he missed and loved here on earth.  I will miss you dearly Peter.....RIP
