Conniff, Richard Patrick, died August 25th. Born in New York City on April 15th, 1922, son of the late William J. and Ruth (Roberts) Conniff, he moved to Orlando from Boston in 1969, relocating to Clermont in 2001. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps following his graduation from West Point in 1945 and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He received his Masters degree from Cornell University in Engineering and used his degree in positions with Avco Missiles Systems and AMF. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Surviving are his daughters Pamela Conniff, Los Angeles, CA; Patricia Holland, Palm Beach Gardens; sons Richard Jr., White Hall, MD; William, Chicago, IL; James, Severna Park, MD; sister, Maureen Conniff, Port Angeles, WA; twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. His wife, Ruth (Garvey) Conniff and daughter, Jacqueline Fort , Vero Beach pre-deceased him. A memorial service will be held at 1PM on August 28th at the Howard-Price Funeral Home in North Palm Beach.
