Born in Wichita, Kansas, in 1947, Bob carried the values of his Midwestern upbringing with him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Wichita State University, he began a long and successful career that would span decades and leave a lasting mark on the aerospace industry.
Bob built his professional life at Pratt & Whitney and later Boeing, where he rose through the ranks as both an engineer and executive. He was named Site Director, leading the L&EOS Engineering Organization at the Canoga Park location for Boeing in 2002, before retiring in 2009. His leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence were instrumental in his and the company's success.
In 1977, he married the love of his life Marianne. Their partnership spanned nearly five decades. They built their family in South Florida and later spent 15 years living in Southern California during the height of his career before retiring together to South Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine and a slower pace of life.
An avid sports fan, Bob had a lifelong passion for cheering on his favorite teams- the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Whether watching a game at home or discussing stats with his kids, grandsons, and friends, he brought unmatched energy and spirit to every season.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marianne; his daughter Kelly (Scott) Hammerslag; his son Bobby (Katie) Jaeger; and his cherished grandsons Ben, Derek, and Cameron. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Kathleen) Jaeger, and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his dear sister Diana Stonier and his loving mother, Mildred Jaeger, and father Deane Jaeger.
Bob will be remembered for his devotion to family, and his sharp mind and professional accomplishments. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the many he inspired. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity/non-profit organization in Bob's memory.
